Visit any European hunting show, and you will notice quite a few visitors wearing exactly similar brown or red fleece jackets. Take a closer look, and you will see that these jackets are from Härkila.

It's a design that we named Kamko when we introduced it a decade ago. It has become a modern classic within the hunting community – well-known and often seen among hunters all over Europe. A genuinely iconic Härkila product.

Now we introduce a Kamko optimized to fit the female physique. This is not yet another attempt to make feminine hunting clothes but a series of slight modifications to make this trendy jacket available to all hunters. At the same time, we are also introducing a vest version.

A signature jacket

The overwhelming popularity of the Kamko jacket started with the European hunting superstar Franz Albrecht. He adopted the easily recognized reversible brown and red jacket as a part of his signature outfit in the widely popular Wild Boar Fever movies.

The turnability that enables the hunter to go from dark brown to signal red in seconds without compromising the jacket's functionality was revolutionary at the time of the introduction of the original design. Sales picked up as hunters started to wear the jackets as everyday statements of their hunting passion.

The female Kamko

Although the Kamko is designed to fit the male body perfectly, many female hunters own Kamko jackets. We think they deserve a version of the model with a better fit. Therefore, we designed the Härkila Kamko Fleece Women.

At first glance, it is very similar to the classic Kamko design, and that is very intentional! There are, however, small but significant differences in the cut of the jacket to optimize the fit for a female body shape.

For the same reason, there is no sleeve pocket on the new design as it becomes too clumsy on this model. The only other real difference is that the ribbons on the new model are brown and not black as on the male version.
